I grew up on a beef farm in Bradford County PA. After earning my Bachelors Degree at Slippery Rock University, I was called into full time ministry. I attended Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary, earning my Master in Arts of Religion, Master of Religious Education, and Master of Divinity. I Pastored my first church in the mountains of Bath County Virginia, where the Lord taught me many valuable lessons in ministry. In the fall of 2013, my wife and I felt called to serve the Lord full time in western Pennsylvania, specifically at Cornerstone Church of Clarion. Cornerstone affirmed this call with their decision to bring me on as their Pastor in February of 2013. Serving the Lord at Cornerstone has been an immense blessing, and has grown my faith. I have truly learned to expect great things from God as we follow Him together as a church family!
I am happily married to my wife, who is my partner in ministry. The Lord has filled our hearts with an ambition to have a great impact on the Kingdom. We love to dream together about doing great things for God. We have three children, two girls and a boy: Sadie, Sidney, and Skylar.
I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior at the age of 12. I was on fire for the Lord in High School but strayed away from obedience during my early adulthood. I rededicated my life to Christ at age 32 and have grown in my walk since that time. I am so thankful for my loving prayerful parents (of 12 children) who never gave up on me, the “black sheep” in the family.
My wife Sandy and I like riding the H-D on beautiful days & I also like playing golf. We met and married in 2010, after me losing my first wife to cancer and Sandy losing her husband to a work accident. 814-745-2669, [email protected]
My wife Lana and I are charter members of Cornerstone. We were high school sweethearts and life long residents of the Rimersburg area. We’ve been happily married, for the majority of 47 years…in-spite of me and because of her! My background as self employed business owner since 1978 has served me well in the trustee position. I’m also a veteran of the US Air Force presidential honor guard, circa 1975-1978.
We are both semi Retired! Meaning….Lana as an RN for 37 years and me as self employed, never lose our knowledge, skills and abilities, thanks to Gods gifts and talents he’s granted us.
Once the Holy Spirit got ahold of my heart and taught me to “be still and listen to God” I gained a peace that had been elusive for many years. Our 3 grown adult kids, their spouses and 6 grandkids round out our family nucleus. If not for family, Gods grace and mercy, my life would be completely chaotic. When I was young if there had been such a thing as ADD I would have been the poster child. Now it’s morphed into AADDDDDD ….apparently it is still active! You must get older, but growing up is optional!
I am privileged and humbled to be part of Cornerstone’s growth, pastor John’s ministry and one of the volunteers that make it all come together. This is one of the most rewarding experiences I’ve had in my career to see lost souls saved, hurting people comforted, a community of believers come together in prayer and unity, the love of Christ and the fellowship. The future is bright for Cornerstone as humility, prayer, spreading the good word and service is at the core of leadership.
I enjoy quasi-retirement and traveling with Lana, beef farming, music & singing, reading, studying the Bible, life group, staying up on current political events, running oversized Tonka Toys (skid loader, excavator, dump truck, tractors) at least that’s what Lana calls them, being a help to others and serving Cornerstone’s various needs. The order of these enjoyments constantly change …except for retirement & traveling with Lana😜

I am so thankful to be able to serve and share how great and awesome our Lord is with the church, the community, and beyond. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and a Master’s degree in Rehab Sciences and have been working in the Human Services field for many years.
Growing up I hardly ever missed a Sunday of church or Sunday School. I grew up going to a small country Methodist church my first 14 years of life. I loved going to my little country church but I never heard a message about salvation and having a personal relationship. All I ever grew up knowing was you shouldn’t miss church and you could earn attendance pins. It was also hard with there only being two or three other teens in your youth group. It wasn’t until I begin to attend another church that finding God and a personal relationship with him changed my life forever. I grew up in a small school where I battled being picked on all the time for having big ears or not being the cool guy because I wouldn’t party. At one point in my 9th grade year of school that I reached an extreme low point in my life and almost didn’t continue on with my life. This is when I found Jesus and learned what it meant to have personal relationship with him. I began to attend church every Sunday and began to grow so much in my personal walk. I was baptized with my family during an Easter celebration a year or two later. I knew after these trials I faced that I wanted to have a career where I worked with kids and teens and could hopefully make a difference in their lives. As soon as I graduated High School and decided to stay local, I began to serve in the Youth department at my past church where I was the 7th and 8th grade boys teacher for years. I led a couple of missions trips to New York City and really loved Youth ministry. I really appreciate Pastors Bruce Collier and Brandon Brillhart for igniting my passion to serve in Youth ministry. These two pastors showed me what it takes to lead a Youth ministry and how to reach teens for Jesus in our hurting world. It is my hope and prayer that when our students leave Cornerstone they will continue to worship and praise our Lord and Savior in college and continue to represent him with integrity and through their actions. I pray that my students will continue to attend church and reach new friends for Jesus in college.
You can find me playing or coaching sports of all kinds for the Keystone Panthers where I am also an Elementary Technology Integration Teacher and Instructional Technology Specialist. I also spend my summers playing golf and working for Clarion Oaks Golf Club. I love every Pittsburgh sports team and you will probably see that game on my television if you were to stop over. I also have troubles saying NO! Oh yah I also wear the black and white stripes and officiate basketball. I love talking in many different accents and making a different in kids and teens lives on a daily basis. I also love New York City, sports of all kinds, and all technology. I can’t wait to marry my Fiance Kelly in the spring of 2017. [email protected] 814-229-7734 (c) 814-797-2124 (h)
I have been attending Cornerstone almost from the beginning. I have a heart for service to the body and was asked to join the PMT in 2013. This journey with Cornerstone has been amazing as we get to watch God’s hand move through His people.
In my professional life, I am the Director of Human Resources for FrenchCreek Production in Franklin. I enjoy a quiet personal life in Knox with my wife Dee; my three awesome sons, Patrick, Cameron, and Ian; and our two superpugs, Herbie and Milee.
My passion is to know the LORD and to encourage other women to know Him and to grow in their relationship with Him. It has been my privilege to be active in Women’s Ministry and I am thankful to the LORD for the opportunity.
I grew up in a loving, church going family, but never really knew God. Before Jesus, I was living for me and I was in control. It wasn’t until much later in life, I realized I was not in control and I needed a Savior. I was saved in 2003. Now I find great joy in living for Christ, and letting Him be in control of my life. My prayer is that my story would help others to see how much God loves them. I am blessed to be able to use my God given administrative gifts for the Kingdom.I am a mom to two amazing sons. I love baking, walking, spending time with friends and family, Snoopy and COOKIES!!
My Passion in the Ministry is just working and serving at Cornerstone wherever I am needed also I love the Missions Ministry especially the Philippines. I was born and raised in rural Kansas, attended a small country Methodist Church until I left home to go to college. I graduated from Emporia State University in 1972 and started working and raising a family. I now have two daughters and four grandchildren. My oldest daughter, Robin lives in Kansas City and my youngest with the four children lives in Illinois. I have been involved in Power Plant construction, maintenance, operation, and management for over 35 years and still counting.
Growing up, my family attended Mass every Saturday evening or Sunday morning. I spent the first 20-something years of my life in church but never knowing what it meant to have a relationship with Jesus….I knew who He was, that He died on the cross and rose again 3 days later.
I did not understand, however, that He knew ME when He did that and that He did that for ME. I always just hoped that I would go to Heaven, but I had no idea that I could be certain that that’s where I was headed. I honestly didn’t believe I was good enough to get there, and I certainly didn’t think it could be as easy as simply accepting the gift Jesus offers. Long story short, praise God!, I now know!! I am so grateful that the God of the universe loves me so much – it is unfathomable. It is my prayer that I live this life He has given me in a way that pleases Him and helps to grow His kingdom.
My husband Dennis and I have lived in Clarion for a little more than 13 years; we have 2 awesome kids – Clayton and Grace. We came to Cornerstone in early 2014, and we are so grateful to have found a church home with such wonderful people!
I was always in church and Sunday School as a kid. Always. It was just part of who I was. I attended a small country church not too far from Cornerstone and there I formed friendships and bonds with some that have lasted a lifetime. This church was part of a denomination that isn’t strong on salvation messages. There was never an invite to accept Jesus into your heart at our services, but it felt good being there. We had lots of after church dinners, and our softball team won quite a few tournaments back in the day, but few were being saved.
It wasn’t until I became a teenager and got plugged in to an inter-denominational Christian singing group that I began hearing some REAL salvation teaching, and meeting kids my age who were clearly further ahead in their faith that I was. It was there that I was confronted with THE CHOICE to accept or reject Jesus’ offer of eternal salvation, and it was there that I accepted Him.
At Cornerstone I handle the creative and social media services ministries and also sing on the praise team. Every week I LOVE hearing John preach and teach and lead people through the salvation plan and join hundreds of my brothers and sisters as we are on the edge of our seat to see who is next to accept Jesus’ offer for salvation. I’m astounded at how God is moving and growing and reaching our communities in a place called Cornerstone, and I can’t imagine what we will look like in another 5 years!
I’m married to Nicole and we have four amazing kids, Micah, Eric, Rebecca, and Madeline.
